Avondale common house was started in may 2017 by local couple Ellen & William Rogers. Not new to the restaurant scene, William was the executive chef and general manager of Iron City for a number of years after a long stint as sous chef at 26 in southside. Ellen was a longtime general manager for Ccean and 26, which is where the couple met. Ellen Had been working with the Bajalieh brothers opening their new concept when the opportunity to start their own place presented itself. Common

House is known for live music Tuesday nights and Sunday during Birmingham's best brunch. Lively neighborhood bar & grill in the heart of Avondale, catering available, buyouts for rehearsal dinners and parties, covered patio dining, craft cocktails. William features seasonal fresh local produce, & seafood whenever possible. Stay tuned for their second Location in Trussville, summer 2019.
