Jones Valley Urban Farm is an education nonprofit in Birmingham, Alabama that offers programs aimed at teaching youth and communities about the value of agriculture, healthy food systems, and nutrition.  To advance this goal, Jones Valley Urban Farm has transformed over three acres of vacant downtown property into an urban teaching farm.

• Urban Farm with a focus on nutrition education—our focus on issues affecting and encouraging nutrition education and health is realized on an urban teaching farm.
• Educational organization enabling change—our education programs provide experiential learning opportunities in order to change the way children and students think about growing and consuming food.  
• Alabama-based wellness organization—our nonprofit uses urban farming and education to promote healthy living and wellness in one of the nation's least healthy states.
